Sous Chef – Norfolk Gastro Pub- £26,000

We are looking for a strong Sous Chef to support the Head of this upmarket Gastro Pub in a desirable location in a small Norfolk Village. Competitive salary on offer, up to £26,000 with bonus scheme and share of tips.

The Company:

Independent client with award winning Gastro Pub just off the Norfolk coastal path. Hugely popular in the summer with tourists, catering up to 500 covers a day.

The Role:

•Our client is looking for a Sous Chef to support and assist the Head Chef with quality experience in fresh food gastro pubs/restaurants where you have been used to producing good honest food from locally sourced ingredients.

•We are looking for a hands on Sous Chef who is able to remain calm under pressure, due to the location of this restaurant, you can expect to cater for 500+ covers daily in the summer months.

•You will be required to step up in the absence of the Head Chef, get involved in writing and pricing menus, managing, training and leading the team, control costs and manage budgets, write rotas, order stock and liaise with suppliers.

•Live in on offer for short or long term
•Competitive salary depending on experience, in the region of £26,000 + a share of gratuities + bonus incentive
•Full time position, 5 out of 7 days a week, working to the needs of the business.

Looking for a Sous Chef who....

•Is a people person, who is down to earth and approachable, with a positive attitude and outgoing nature.
•Is hard-working
•Can remain calm in high pressure situations
•Has some high quality fresh food/ Rosette experience
•Has a background in high volume establishments
•Has a passion for working with fresh food and local produce
•Wants to relocate/live in rural Norfolk.
